Depression

Depression has become a global issue and it is now deemed to be the leading cause of disability in the world. It leads to a loss of interest in activities and lack of joy. It can cause deep emotional suffering and can lead to suicide if left untreated. Prescribed medication and counselling have been found to be effective for helping with depression. Having someone to talk to who is compassionate, empathic and non-judgmental can be very supportive. You need to approach depression on all sides. There are many things you can do in depression treatment. Depression treatment with a compassionate therapist can help you overcome your low mood and feelings of low self worth, loss of interest and emotional pain.

Lifestyle changes are important. Exercise is known to be helpful in depression treatment. Excellent nutrition, being in nature, rest and relaxation and meditation all contribute to an increased sense of well-being. Developing a support network and belonging to a community are very important also.
